sanu: The Productivity App for Care Without Language Barriers

sanu is our flagship, in-house, investor-backed product. The app enables caregivers and families to overcome language barriers in home care.

We equipped sanu with a variety of features, including a messenger, shared calendars, issue and emergency reporting, and senior profiles—all with real-time automatic translation between German and Polish. For complex functions like AI-powered translation and the messenger, we researched and integrated best-in-class third-party solutions. The mobile app is designed to be especially easy to use, even for less tech-savvy users.

Alongside the mobile app, we developed a web-based admin panel for user management, tailored to the workflows of care agencies.

With sanu, we launched several pilot projects with care agencies and introduced a new business model for home care, bridging operational gaps and creating scalable digital solutions.

Our Approach

Every decision was guided by a thorough Discovery phase. We started by understanding what users—caregivers, families, and care agencies—truly need. All the challenges we mastered, from designing for non-technical users to effective backend user management and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, were based on the valuable insights gained during this intensive Discovery process.

Our Success

With sanu, we launched several pilot projects with care agencies and introduced a new business model for home care. These pilots provided valuable insights for further user research, product improvements, and future strategic steps, including new funding opportunities through investors.
